Hurley-Testa Construction has begun renovations to the firt floor of 517 E. Broadway. The renovations will include an office for the Bishop, meeting room, kitchen, office for personnel, full bathroom and sitting room at the rear looking out to the backyard.
Demolition work is almost complete. The front two rooms were converted into one large room. The false ceiling had to be removed exposing the 11ft ceilings and ceiling medallions in both rooms. The middle room false ceiling was also removed.
Unfortunately, the original plaster crown moulding was beyond repair. It will be replicated with multi-built-up wood crown moulding. The half bath and pantry were removed to make a larger, more functional kitchen. The full bathroom is being remodeled completely and reconfigured with a full shower.
